You might be fearing change, as though it’s a scary tornado about to rip through your life. If so, you might tell yourself these 16 things. Be aware of them so you can prevent them from holding you back.

1. “I’m too old to start over.”

You convince yourself that you’ve missed your window for a major life change. But that’s a cop-out. People reinvent themselves at every age. You’re never too old to pursue a dream or learn something new. Will it be easy? No. But it’s not impossible. The only expiration date on change is the one you impose on yourself.
